Inside the DymaxionRecently there’s been this huge upswing in urban “pod” housing, but a lot of people were unaware that these pods were being designed quite a while ago. In 1929, a man by the name of Buckminster Fuller came up with the idea for his Dymaxion house; a small circular aluminum clad, dome-like structure. The house was meant to be manufactured as a kit that could be shipped and constructed in any climate. The shot above is looking into the living/dining room.
