Let's Fly Away

The plane you see above is a Ford Tri-motor. Back in the 1920’s (Ford’s aviation heyday) these were considered one of the most reliable planes in the market. The particular aircraft you see above was dubbed the Floyd Bennett by Richard E. Byrd. Byrd and Bennett were supposedly the first to fly over the North pole, although Bennett died not long after returning. Byrd, used this aircraft on his Antartic expeditions. This particular aircraft was also used by Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom.
