Ask me about my Wiener

The Weinermobile

One of the very first things you see as you enter the Henry Ford Museum is a pristine 1952 Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. In fact, the museum is very weinermobile-oriented, with a plastic injection molding machine (where you can instantly mold your own souviener of the wienermobile), and a gift shop with little wienermobile shaped whistles dubbed, wienerwhistles. I’m not exactly sure how the whole wienermobile thing got started, but as crazy as it sounds, a car shaped like a hot dog driving down the road is just genius in my opinion…
