The Rocky Shore of Northport

The HDR effect most-often makes skies look much more intimidating than they really are; which is why I always re-mix most of my HDR’s with the original image to take the darkening effect out a bit. However, in this shot, the skies were already intimidating, and so I didn’t really change the effect at all. This picture is supposed to look cold and intimidating because that’s just how it was at the time! This shot looks out at Lake Michigan from the tip of Northport, at the shores of the lighthouse.
