Me Lucky Charms

Rainbow BarnThe day we traveled into Traverse City, Michigan, to walk around, shop, and see the sights, was pretty much the worst day for doing something like that. It would rain steady for about 5 minutes, then clear up and possibly even have blue skies for about 10 to 15 minutes, and then start raining again. This whole process repeated throughout the day, so eventually we decided to forget about Traverse City and drive up Old Mission Penninsula to see the lighthouse and wineries.

Along the way we stopped at a fruit stand along the road. I saw this rainbow as I was loading up the trunk and I whipped out the camera just before the rain made it to the car to get this shot.

WOW. What a beautiful shot! I hear ya – the time I went up there last summer with my husband the weather was a little capricious like that. But good grief, it’s beautiful up there. 🙂

    • Actually, that was pretty much the only day for that extended weekend trip that was like that, so I count myself lucky anyway. Plus, even with the rain like it was, the scenery was beautiful.
