Rolling Hills of the Chateau Grand Traverse

The Rolling Fields Grand Traverse ChateauOld Mission Penninsula, north of Traverse City, Michigan is as much a treat to the eyes as it is to the taste buds. It seems as if the entire peninsula is just one big winery, as there are so many in such a small area that it becomes almost impossible to determine where one stops and the next one begins. We stopped at a few to taste different wines as we made our way to the tip of the peninsula to visit the lighthouse.

This particular shot comes from one of the higher points on the peninsula that commanded a gorgeous view of the rolling vineyards, orchards, Lake Michigan, and all the warm colors of the surrounding autumn foliage.
