FishtownWhen we were visiting Northwest Michigan, we stopped for a day of sightseeing and shopping at historic Fishtown village in Leland. The structures, shops, and eateries in Fishtown have been preserved in time, allowing you to experience an authentic northern fishing village in its prime. Main drag, if you will, is centered on the Leland river, which dumps into Lake Michigan after traversing a series of waterfalls as pictured here. A few of the shops were closed because of the fall season, but we were treated to a view of the Salmon jumping up and into the falls as they made their voyage upstream.
