Haunted Hill

The building shown above is the oldest structure on the grounds of Fort Worden State Park, in Port Townsend, Washington. Legend has it that in 1883 Reverend John Alexander, originally from Scotland, purchased the property the castle now rests on. He fashioned and built the structure according to his Scottish heritage, in order for his betrothed (who at the time was still in Scotland) to be more at home, although uprooted in a land quite distant from her own. Although, when he returned to Scotland to fetch his bride, she had already sought out another suitor. O’snap!
