The White Barn

So I read this book by Tim Fitzharris, called Landscape Photography, published by Firefly Books. The book features his amazing work mostly from around the national parks in the United States. In it, he gives some really great advice for getting better shots. Some of it, I am reluctant to confess, seems fantastically simple after you think about it. So, when I went on my last trip to Michigan, I tried to employ some of the advice. This shot utilizes a smaller aperature setting, in order to bring more of the scene into crisp focus. I was pretty happy with the results.

If you get the chance, check out Tim’s book. No, I’m not suggesting you buy the book or anything (I got my copy from the Library). It’s just a good read!
