Silver Surfer

Here’s another shot from the BP Pedestrian Bridge in Chicago, Illinois that links both sides of Grant Park. The bridge was designed and built with these stainless steel sheet metal panels that reflect light and color, and give the bridge a modern look.

As I was taking the picture, I kept thinking about how awesome it would be to slide down the panels, or try to ride something across them. I’m sure that would be prohibited, but it’s like that same urge to spit off a bridge, or shout down a tunnel.
