The Misty Valley

There are some sights in life that quite literally take your breath away. This was one of those times. However, I have to admit, after hiking to the top of Hurricane Hill Trail in the Olympic National Park I was already quite winded, due to the sustained physical demand, and the altitude. When you reach the top of this trail, however, you are greeted to an unblocked panoramic view of the Olympic mountain range, which is pretty awe inspiring to begin with. To top that off, once we arrived, a rain storm was making it’s way across the mountaintops. The rain and moisture cast this surreal mist across the valleys and it was hard to stop watching the dance as it moved steadily towards us. Eventually the rain did make it to us, and I frantically raced to pack the equipment back into the backpack; but not before snapping a few frames to compile the image above.
