Bridge Of Dreams

Here’s a cool bridge we found in Brinkhaven, Ohio, while traveling to Amish country. The bridge itself was built in 1920, to span the Mohican River for railroad traffic. The railroad was abandoned in the 1990’s and it was not covered until 1998. The group of bridge supporters suggested getting funding to cover the bridge, but many told them they were “dreaming,” and it would never happen. When the funds were raised and the new covered bridge dedicated, they dubbed it “The Bridge of Dreams” as a comical reference to the resistance.
