The Tropic Cinema

As you walk past the Tropic Cinema, you think that this place must have been a Key West institution forever… The building has this vintage look to it, and it just looks like it belongs there. In reality, though, the Tropic has only been there since 2004. It also, happens to hold the title of the only non-profit theatre on the island. The founders originally set up the theatre in order to bring classic and independent film back to the island. Today, the Tropic has expanded to boast 4 separate theatres and plays mainstream and independent films. Oh, and it looks pretty cool from the outside too!
