Osage Orange Tunnel

Posted: August 14, 2012 in Nikon D40, Ohio

This is a natural tunnel formed by the Osage Orange trees that grow in Sugarcreek metro park, in Sugarcreek, Ohio. The path that winds through the trees is maintained by the park, so you can walk through these trees year round. In the warmer months, the skeleton-like structure you see here takes on its foliage to provide a nice shaded area to cool down and even stop to take a rest on one of the benches.

  1. Very nice. We’re not too far from Sugarcreek, and I never knew about this. Will have to have hubby take me on the motorcycle so we can see.
