The Old Bridge

Posted: July 19, 2012 in Florida, HDR, Nikon D90

This is a shot of the old railway bridge in the Florida Keys. I love the archways, and architectural features of this bridge! You cannot access the majority of the bridge anymore due to the fact that it is literally crumbling into the sea and therefore not even safe for pedestrian use. Other sections have been completely removed to facilitate travel of larger vessels through the channels. Nevertheless, it is such an interesting feature and monument to the past.

I originally took this shot in color, but switched to black and white in post-processing because I thought it gave it a more timeless and historic feel.
