Sometimes you never quite know whether a “different” style treatment will “work” or not. To be honest, I usually stay pretty well within a certain “look.” But every once in a while I’ll try something a little different to spice things up. (Note: Sorry about all the “quotes” I’m a little more Dr. Evil than I probably should be today…)

This shot was taken in Charm, Ohio deep in Amish Country. We found this little road that twisted through the valley, up some foothills, and around a bunch of farms. I was generally shooting with my back to the rising sun to get the warm morning glow on the barns, but I did turn around for this shot. I darkened the exposure & reduced saturation in post to give it a more ominous feel.
